I can now say that I actually did it.
Last night I found out that I would be flying into Atlanta and finding my hotel all by myself. If you know me I am at times not the best with paying attention and all that jazz. So I hate to admit to this, but I was a bit nervous thinking I would be flyin' solo+ finding my way around a place I have only seen on a map....
But folks... I did it! :) I flew by myself, rode a train for the first time, died of heat here in Georgia, and found my way to my hotel room.
My flight left at 12:50 today and this is how clueless I was to begin the trip. When I entered the SLC airport I didn't even know where to go for security. Yes I have flown and yes it's always been SLC, but I have always traveled with groups so I just follow instead of actually knowing where to go. So don't worry readers I made it through security w/out any beeping noises. When I found the gate where I was suppose to be I sat there for about 5 minutes and noticed that the gate I was at had been switched so I ran frantically (kinda) to the other gate. Luckily they were a little behind schedule and I had time to breath & wait. I got on the plane & let's just say its the biggest plane I have ever been on. And the 1st class seating was INCREDIBLE...I was amazed. ANYWAY.. I sat down and how lucky could I have gotten, there was only one lady that sat next to me and she sat on the outside and I got the window seat (p.s.this was a 3 person row & we only had 2 ppl). My riding partner in crime aka the lady that was in my row was a hilarious black lady from Charlotte, NC- the same exact place my BRO served on his mission. {PRETTY CRAZY}
I always enjoy flying & how cool is this.. I got to watch Hunger Games the whole way there. When I got off and ended up in Atlanta I did what I don't normally do I asked a lady where to go to get to the shuttles. To make a long story short...the ATLANTA airport is HUGGGGEEEE and I got to ride a way cool train that you see on TV + I got to hear lots of fun southern/georgian accents and I got hit with the humid heat. I am here now at the hotel and it feels SOOOOO great. I feel like I just accomplished a marathon...well maybe like a 5k RUN :) YAY
Tonight the family I nanny for will arrive and then we will head to Mexico tomorrow! I can't WAIT. BRING on the BEACh & that shiny hot thing I like to call the SUN :) til next time!!!
