I remember the day just like it was yesterday. I remember waking up with butterflies in my stomach and a full heart of love. You usually hear how the bride is not able to sleep because she is way too excited. Well let me tell you what, I slept better than I had in a long time. I went to bed feeling blessed and grateful for what was to come about the next day. Wedding day. There is nothing like it. Just thinking about it right now makes my heart race.
I remember the first time I saw Judd that day [wedding day]. We met at a gas station, my parents drop me off and there he was to pick me up. Take it as you will, but at that moment as I was getting out of my parents car and into his, thats when everything changed and our journey began. Judd was all decked out in his wedding gear with a big ol' smile and my heart skipped a beat. [cheesy? yes, but it's the truth]
Amongst all the feelings of the day, walking into the sealing room and seeing all those that mattered most, family + friends was the icing on the cake. I couldn't believe that I was actually getting to marry the man beside me, my best friend. What mattered most was right in from of me. It was realizing that no one made me happier and that he was mine now. All mine for eternity.
I can't even believe that one year has come and gone. What an adventurous year it has been. We have had so many incredible moments/memories, we've had trials, we've laughed (a lot), we've learned patience, and most importantly we have LOVED. Each day we are trying to become one with each other and one with our Heavenly Father. Each day is a new day that I get to be with my best friend, my eternal companion, and nothing seems even remotely close to that. Pure happiness!
Judd Robert Rydalch, you are one incredible husband and I feel so blessed for every moment we get to spend together.
Here is to eternity!
