You know what I absolutely hate...

I HATE DOUBTING MYSELF!

Going back to school after spring break was a killer. I actually wished that spring break didn't even exist because getting the motivation to go back is like telling a cat to swim (okay bad analogy, but you get the point-cat's hate the water right). I had more homework in that week than any other week. How is that even possible...Spring Break literally has the word BREAK in it. So of course I procrastinated with my homework and got it done at the very last second & then as soon as I got that homework done I was piled up with bigger projects; which meant more countless hours were going to keep me up late. Let's just say I survived...barely (I'm being a TAD dramatic).

This last week at school I was definitely tried and tested. I thought all the hard work I had put into my projects were just going to waste because of the feedback I was getting from my teachers. At that moment I instantly doubted myself & my capabilities (work) completely. I thought what am I going to do, this was the major I had picked and I am way too far into it to change it now. Oh crap is right! Not only did I doubt myself, but I also started comparing myself to the others in my class.

Why is it that we do that. WHY? I must admit I struggle with this one. Why can't I just be completely excited about the designs that I am make. After going through this whole pitty party of mine I was hit with something. That something was in my Institute class.

The Lord definitely knows what He is doing. When I least expect it He is right there helping me through it. What an incredible blessing it is to have that faith that He is always there & will forever be there if I continue to do those things He asks of me. He will not put things in front of us that we can not handle. These trials that I have been facing at school are only making me learn, but are helping me become a better designer and a better person!

First of all I just want to apologize about not having that photo up that I have been promising for a couple weeks now. And I know my excuse is always things have been busy. Yes that has truth to it, but also because I just haven't felt up to it.

I'm back...without homework, tests, finals, quizzes, but also w/out my friends, the get togethers, & Logan. I can honestly say after taking my my last final in class, a deep deep clean, to packing & leaving I was sad. I was sad to leave that place I called home for 9+ months. So much will be missed.
But I am sooooo glad SUMMER is here!


{tiring}Tuesday- After leaving finals and Logan behind I headed to City Creek w/ my whole life in a big white car. Luckily my dad headed home with my stuff and I went shopping with my 2 sisters Haley, Whitney, & my Mom. Oh how I love City Creek. We only hit 1 store Forever 21 & that's all we needed to hit. We found such cute CLOTHES & I loved picking out a million things for her. After shopping we ate late at Village Inn. YUM!!! (p.s. when we got home all my stuff was unpacked out of the car--my dear sweet POPS unloaded it for me-you should see it...it's a MESS)

{wild}Wednesday- I started training for a new job in Orem...After a long day of training I was able to greet Nin & Brooky at their house in SLC! We hit Walmart, McDonalds, Ikea, Arctic Circle, & Target. I also took my last last final online. Don't worry Brooky was there to cheer me on, throw my papers everywhere, drool all over my notes and through the whole thing shed distracted me. Luckily I finished it in time and did pretty well on it.
{tight}Thursday- I headed back to Orem for training. I spent a lot of hours there and drove all the way back home...yes all the way. When I got home my cousin Carol (she has been in my photos before) was there. YAY! Because it was so late when I got there we all played cards and just enjoyed each others company. I also got to have a sleepover w/ my Mom because my Dad was in Kansas City. 


{fast}FRIDAY- This time Carol & Haley drove up with me to Provo, but I dropped them off at the BYU Invitational (track meet) & I headed to go train. Yes, I did do this all 3 days. And I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I got done around 3 so I quickly headed to the meet to watch a few events. I had so many friends and family running, so I definitely wanted to support a few of their races. I met up with Haley, Carol, & my cousin Beau (my cousin roomie). We had a good time & cheered everyone on we knew. On our way back home we had a fun drive. We laughed, talked, and we sang at the top of our lungs. Once we got back 3 more visitors were their... my Aunt Julie, cousin Emma & Allyson. We all had a blast together by making yummy dinner, laughing and dancing in the kitchen as well as just talking the night away. 
{surprise}SATURDAY- My mom, Carol & myself headed back to Provo for the BYU Invitational. We met back up with Beau & my other cousin Melissa. I can't tell you how much I love track. I love watching it, but even more than watching I love competing in it. And to tell you the truth I never thought I would miss it, but I do. It was a great day under the sun & clouds. Everyone I was cheering for did so well & I am proud of them all. We had to leave the meet early because of Haley's Surprise Sweet 16 Birthday Party. Yes we were crazy enough to do this (Melinda, Whitney, my Mom, & I). Let's just summarize it with it was completely chaotic, but it turned out soooo cute, soooo fun, & Haley loved it once she got passed the part of being embarrassed by the HUGE "SURPRISE!" I only stayed at the party for about an hour and a half. It was my turn to go to another party. A big end of school year BON FIRE. It was good to catch up with friends from High School and other people as well. Such an amazing day!

Like you all know from my last blog...I got to spend my short weekend in St. George & let me just say it was a well needed get a way! I loved every second of it & especially because it was WARM & full of INSPIRATION. It was so inspiring because of the one and only General Conference! This Conference seemed to be different for me because I had 5 questions and most of them were answered! I felt like Conference was a time for me to receive guidance, direction, and of course CHANGE.

Because I want this blog to have a twist of style into it I thought how could I {tie} all of it into one. Well folks this is how I did it. Not only did I take notes on what the amazing Prophet, Apostles, and Leaders, taught but I also observed what they were wearing :) pretty tricky huh...ha ha!


Can I just say they had style & of course it was in many different ways. I loved how all of the women that spoke or just were there to support their husbands or held other callings were dressed up in blazers, fun jewelry (w/ just enough sparkle), and were over all brightened w/ COLOR. There were colors like red, blue, pastels, light patterns, etc. I really enjoyed seeing what type of trend the Women Leaders were wearing.

As for the Men......of course they were decked out in their clean cut snazzied suits. The thing I watched for them was their tie. Let's just say they all rocked the trends that are hitting the stores this spring. By this I mean they were showing off patterns like stripes in every which direction, polka dots, solids, light checkering, etc. I came to a realize that most of the men stuck with mostly blues and reds. I think the tie gives just that pop of color and spices up the whole suit as one :)


Last but certainly not least I observed the Mo*Tab (Mormon Tabernacle Choir). I mostly just looked at what the women were wearing. They all matched which was an obvious....they wore pastels, drapery type of jackets and a sleek long skirt. I completely understand they have to dress for all different sizes and they pick out fun stuff for all to shine while they sing. I always love the jewelry/sparkle they add to bring it all together. You literally can see them not only shine through the music, but as well as their accessories. How BEAUTIFUL they all are. How blessed I am to be apart of such an amazing church & the incredible music that comes with it.

Don't think I didn't take anything from conference because I can't tell you how driven I am now and how much I want to work on myself to become a better person. I know that who I am can become more perfected and directed to where not only I want to be, but where my Heavenly Father wants me to be. Conference is definitely a way to receive guidance, to receive the truth and to get us where we need to be. I truly am grateful!

{p.s.} my cousin Elder Mckay Tonga participated in the MTC CHOIR & guess what well as you can see he made it on the BIG SCREEN....YAY!!! I am so proud of him & I love him lots & lots! He leaves for California pretty dang soon...GOOD LUCK MATAY!

Friday... I packed up my little blue car & headed to SLC right after work to spend the weekend w/ "NIN" Melinda & little BROOKIE! Can I just say that after spending the weekend with Nin she inspired me to finally write another POST! If you wanna here more about our weekend read her blog @ randomforevers.blogspot.com its a DANDY....she does such an AWESOME job of keeping up with it!

This weekend was definitely a weekend needed! I tell you what College can take it right out of you with the homework, attempting  studying, finances, work, and of course many of you know...cause you have lived it! Don't think I am complaining about College because I truly do love it, but there just are those times when it gets ya' down. But my weekend brought my SPIRITS to an ULTIMATE HIGH!!!

It was such a good weekend that I didn't head home til yesterday morning (monday)
Ya know I am feeling so positive and ready to take on the week but....
of course I had a rut...for a split second

Quick Story: In my Drawing 1 class we had to draw something round... I chose an egg :) In this picture it had to incorporate light and dark(shadows). When I hung up mine, as did my classmates---my professor went around critiquing each drawing. When he got to mine he said, "What is this suppose to be?" My response, ummm... (awkward laugh) I attempted an egg of COURSE. Man....ha ha kinda a slap to the face, but ya know it will only make me better///RIGHT! I hope! p.s. i though it looked like an egg!




I feel like I have grown and learned so much in such a short amount of time. I am slowly learning how to do things all on my own...yes I said slowly! You never truly appreciate something til it's not a part of your everyday life.

My dreams keep getting bigger and at night I can't sleep because there is so much I want to do! Drumroll.....the thing that has been on my mind quite heavily lately (besides my MISSIONARY:) is.. what I want to be when I grow up & honestly--right now I am going into Graphic Design & yes I would love to stick with it as a minor & truly *MAJOR* in Fashion Management.....ahhhh how amazing it would be!
